Taste the Harvest  is organised by a dedicated committee comprised of members of the City of Devonport Lion’s Club, who are supported by volunteers, Devonport City Council, Devonport City Promotions, TAPG, the Devonport branch of Soroptomists International, and the Tasmanian Department of Primary Industry and Water.

Taste the Harvest is a food and wine festival, celebrating diversity and high quality produce from the North West region of Tasmania. The well attended and well publicised event is staged on the banks of the Mersey River in the centre of the city of Devonport.
Operating now for 9 years the event was originally a concept put forward by the Devonport branch of Soroptomists International but because of that club’s limited membership and resources it was decided that they would have a purely supportive role.
